Provence

In the European summer of 2016 I was lucky enough to escape to Provence and attend a workshop run by the incredible British artist now living in France - Julian Merrow-Smith. This was really all the introduction I needed to fall in love with the joy (and frustrations) of plein air painting. Being in the landscape has become increasingly important to me over the years, as has the mindful experience of painting from life.
