Join Melanie and me for a delicious weekend of heartfelt food and creativity as we paint, draw and dine at Nelson Street, a relaxed and welcoming space in South Fremantle, WA.

From Friday night to Sunday evening we’ll be hosted by my dear friend and food extraordinaire, Melanie Holmes, in her beautiful space in Fremantle. We’ll feed our souls with fabulous food and wine in between painting and drawing still life pieces using real props from the Nelson Street interior and garden. This immersive weekend is all about the good things in life.

11 - 12 April 2024

This two-day workshop will focus on various ways to loosen up our interpretation of the landscape and bring more of our own intuition into our work.

We’ll be working with photos and potentially some plein air drawings of locations within walking distance of the studio (weather dependent).

The aim of the workshop will be to create multiple small studies you can use as starting points for new ideas, and most importantly to have some fun along the way.

The class is suitable for beginners with some basic painting or drawing experience, to anyone looking for some new ideas to inject into their practice.

I’ll be painting with oils, but acrylic painters also welcome.

For seven days and seven nights you’ll be part of a small group hosted by two lovely locals and myself, as we paint plein air, eat, drink wine and talk art while immersing ourselves in this beautiful French village and the surrounding areas.
